Certificate Accounts
Certificates typically pay higher rates than traditional savings accounts. Choose the length of time or “term” and receive a guaranteed rate. If you're age 23 and under, you can open an account with as little as $100.
If you’re looking to start building credit history, this credit card is perfect. We’ll start you off with a manageable initial credit limit and you'll receive all the features of our Platinum Rewards card. With responsible usage and timely payments, you'll be on the road to building positive credit and a higher credit limit in no time.
Plan for future education expenses with a Coverdell Education Savings (ESA) account. This is a great option for you to set up regular contributions for students to grow savings quickly on a tax-favored basis.

Checking: Final checking account establishment and Visa debit card are subject to approval through ChexSystems. Minimum age to open a checking account is 13. Free overdraft protection transfers available from established savings, money market or Visa accounts. ATM fee reimbursement limited to $3 per transaction and $12 per month for FirstStep checking. Courtesy pay fee is $25 per item when you overdraw your account by check, ACH, ATM or debit card transactions. Repayment is required within 30 days. Whether your overdrafts will be paid is discretionary and we reserve the right not to pay. For example, we typically do not pay overdrafts if your account is not in good standing, or you are not making regular deposits, or you are delinquent or in default in any other respect on any loan or obligation. Courtesy pay protection for debit and ATM transactions requires member consent. Some restrictions apply.
Visa: To be eligible for our Visa Platinum Rewards Starter Card, members must be 18 or older, have no adverse credit history and have a job or a co-signer to qualify, and is subject to credit union policies and procedures. Complete Visa Card Account Agreement and Truth-in-Lending Disclosure. Annual Percentage Rate (APR) as of December 1, 2024. APR is variable and ranges between 12.00% and 17.00% and is based on creditworthiness at the time of application. After that, the rate will vary with the market based on the Prime Rate. Cash advances and balance transfers do not qualify to earn Reward points. Use of points is subject to ScoreCard Rewards Terms and Conditions.
Certificates: $100 minimum required to open an account and earn dividends for members age 23 and under. Fees may reduce earnings and a penalty may be imposed for early withdrawals.

Contact a tax advisor for details. Fees may reduce earnings and a penalty may be imposed for early withdrawals. Additional penalties may be assessed by federal and state tax authorities under regulations governing ESAs.
